Disaster Relief

The North Spartan Feeding Unit is a "C" class unit; which means it can prepare up to 25,000 meals per day. The unit is housed in a 24 foot Ford truck and 14 foot Wells Cargo trailer. The equipment varies from fish cookers to tilting skillets and convection ovens. Other equipment includes regular restaurant equipment.

To operate the unit at full strength requires 18-20 volunteers on each shift. Volunteers are asked, in most responses, to go on site for five days; one day to travel, three days to work, one day to return home. Sometimes the crew, when distance allows, will work 1/2 day on their travel days.

Montana Missions

During July 9-16, the 17 person mission team from the North Spartan Association traveled to Billings, Montana, to assist in a sports camp. The camp was held Monday thru Thursday with an average attendance of 503 children! On Thursday the plan of salvation was shared. During the invitation 78 children raised their hands that they had prayed to received Jesus!

We will journey to Montana again next year during July 8-15. Let me know if you would like to go with us.  (ken@northspartan.net)
